PRAGUE CASTLE

Prague is the capital and the largest city of the Czech Republic, Europe. Prague's population was 1,2 million in 2016. Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th-century Europe. Main attractions in Prague are Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, and many more. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

Prague Castle is a castle complex in Prague, Czech Republic, dating from the 9th century, It's three courtyards and a number of magnificent buildings cover over 7 hectares (18 acres), so be prepared to see a lot and do some walking. It is the official residence of the President of the Czech Republic. The castle was a seat of power for kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman emperors, and presidents of Czechoslovakia.

According to the Guinness Book of Records, Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world, occupying an area of almost 70,000 square meters, at about 570 meters in length and an average of about 130 meters wide.

Most of the castle areas are open to tourists. The castle houses several museums, including the National gallery collection of Bohemian baroque and mannerism art, exhibition dedicated to Czech history, Toy Museum and the picture gallery of Prague Castle.

The opening hours every Monday to Saturday is 9 am until 6 pm. But when weekend or Sunday, it's open at 12 am until 6 pm.
